Black Childrens Book Drive

A child who sees themselves in a book learns something powerful: their story matters.
In honor of National Reading Month, the Detroit Alumnae and Delta Psi chapters of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. are proud to collaborate on collecting Black children’s books for a DPSCD elementary school library. All young readers deserve to find themselves on the page.
Here’s how you can participate:
Shop at a Black-owned bookstore or any retailer of your choice and drop off your donation at one of the locations below.
Can’t make a drop-off? Purchase a book directly from our Amazon Wish List at bit.ly/DSTBookDrive and it will be shipped directly to us.
